A model built as a leaving present given by a group of friends
These photos are of a 5mm/ft model of the BW Northwich motor, TARPORLEY. She is painted in the little known early colours of BW. My own thoughts are that when the D&IWE took over the nationalised fleet they had no colour scheme in mind so the painters at the dock used the paints they had in stock, hence these colours.
This pair of photos are of the Yarwood's built motor, CYPRUS. She was built for the Erewash CCCo, a subsidiary of the GUCC, she should have been named CYPRESS as they named their boats after trees but a misunderstanding lead to her being painted thus. She was built (along with another motor and two butties) around a foot shorter than the standard narrowboats so that they could fit through the shorter locks on the Soar.
This is a 4mm/ft model of Joe Skinners FRIENDSHIP, famous among all boaters I can't think of anything that isn't common knowledge!
The first of the 10mm/ft models on here, LIBRA a small Northwich (star class)
10mm/ft scale model of President
This is a model of ROGER made for the trust which runs her, it is a limited edition available from the Rickmansworth canal trust.
This is a photograph of the fund raising pair of boats built for the Friends of Raymond Trust, a limited edition of 100 pairs they will become collectors items in time. To 5mm scale they can also be supplied in other scales as part of the fund raising effort. The boats can be ordered through ourselves or follow the links on the trusts own website
This is Thomas Claytons RIBBLE, 5mm/ft these boats were used to transport the liquid waste and by products to and from the gas works around the country.
This is a model of a royalty class motor, built for Associated Canal carriers which was the forerunner of GUCC This class of boats were built specially for use on the Thames tideway, there were six pairs built. There are two of the butties still around MARY, the steel barrel built butty and ADELAIDE a six plank butty. She was last seen at Roger Fullers yard although the owner didn't know too much about her. I have since seen a photo purporting to be ADELAIDE showing her extant in the past year and not in too bad a condition visually.
This is a 5mm/ft model made as a commission for a private customer, he is so pleased with it that he has given it it's own page on his website.
This series of photos is of a pair of boats I built for a customer with a railway layout in his garden, I have also designed and built a set of staircase lock gates for him all to be fitted and working within his railway. See the links page for details.
A bridge built for the same customers indoor layout in OO scale.
These photos are of a 5mm/ft model of a private narrowboat, the customer purchased it for his father... both were extremely happy with the finished result.

Two shots of another OO scale model this time of Thomas Clayton's SEVERN
